skypicThere is always something else going on in life isn’t there? There is something there side tracking us, pulling us away from what we are attempting to do, slowing us down at every turn, keeping us away from loved ones.

WELL SUCK IT UP! That’s life!!

If all we were to do was coast through life without challenge or adversity there wouldn’t be any amazing stories to learn from and share. Everyone has speed bumps on their way to success; the only difference is how each challenge is perceived.

Working with so many different people I hear all kinds of stories why people “can’t” do it. This is baloney. Your current obstacle in life is either going to be the excuse why you “can’t” do it or the reason you are doing it.

Please know that I am talking about excuses people make when someone is presented with an opportunity, investment, or anything that will change their life for the better. There are just so many examples, for instance: “I have been eating so much lately and I am so busy, I “can’t” make time to go to the gym.” OR “I have been eating so much lately I AM going to go to the gym because I like being busy and I want to feel healthy.” See the difference?

Here is another: I “can’t” invest that $100 and change what I am doing a few hours a week, I never see my family as it is.” OR I AM investing that $100, I never see my family and I want to be a part of their lives. I will do whatever it takes to make my family financially independent.”

You see there is no legitimate excuse for anything. We all have 24 hours in a day and there are some people making billions and some people scrounging for pennies. The difference is one persons excuse became their reason and the others reason is their excuse.

What’s YOUR reason?

What planning committee is out there putting together a business idea or marketing plan designed specifically with your best interest in mind? Nobody that’s who!

With all of the new and up and coming opportunities out there don’t just jump in to something that sounds good, do your do diligence, evaluate the opportunity, and make sure it will create a long term income that you can put some faith in. Second, make sure you are passionate about what you are doing. If you are going to begin selling or promoting a business you know you probably wouldn’t use yourself or only use once and be done with it what value do you think others will perceive?

The name of the game is longevity; long term, passive streams of income. Opening a new business or starting something where you are working from home needs to revolve around a system, and not a new system you have created. You want your new endeavor to become a long term asset that will continue to pay you into the future, and also potentially become a marketable business to sell. If you build it correctly you will be able to sell it for a profit, but more importantly you can arrange yourself a percentage of royalties.

The point is plug into a system already in place so that you are more capable of gauging your potential success. A company that can show you a track record, and a proven system of success that if you do X, X number of times here is what we have found out through repetition what is and is not effective.

planning commitee

A good friend of mine and I were talking a few weeks ago talking about sales in various industries which are commission only, with no residual on the back end. We had the opportunity to motivate each other by reinstating to notion that there is no planning committee out there brainstorming with our best interest in mind. Since we are designed for success, but programmed for failure we MUST take it upon our self to chase and believe in our dreams as early in life as possible.

The one thing my friend said to me that really resonated, especially when you look at the majority of sales and commission only jobs, is “you are one brother-in-law away from loosing that commission or residual if you even have it.” – Jim Anthony
There are so few professions with little to no competition, residual income, and the ability to build a long term passive income stream, BUT THEY ARE OUT THERE! Get something started, not some fly by night opportunity, but a business with a foundation and proven track record. Don’t be someone else’s guinea pig.

Build your own planning committee, find other like minded people to be accountable to, and push each other. Keep your eyes open for the quality people who read books, listen to valuable audio programs, and that go to training events to better themselves. Success without personal development is a recipe for failure. This is why you hear of people winning the lotto and going broke.

Simple daily disciplines of reading, listening, and implementing the strategies and techniques you pick up will put you ahead of the 95% of people who are dead or dead broke by 65. Whether you are 18 or 81 within 3-5 years you can create whatever lifestyle you desire. The only difference will be the story and the legacy which is left.
