Perception is everything, I like what Reggie Jackson said, “The greatest manager has a knack for making ballplayers think they are better than they think they are.” Whether you believe you can or you can’t, either way you are right. That is a quote said by many people, but how many more need to say it for you to internalize it?

Do you feel successful? Have you made it? Maybe you haven’t accomplished all of your goals and dreams just yet, but have you accomplished them in your mind? “Fake it till you make it” is a phrase thrown around her e and there and is taken out of context quite often. If you want to be a millionaire I suggest you don’t go out a pretend you have a lot of money in the bank and dig yourself into a hole (which in my opinion is part of the delinquent mortgage situation presently).

In order to “fake it” and actually “make it,” you must visualize and pretend in your mind that you have surpassed all of your aspirations. Actually see yourself doing what you dream about, not visualizing watching yourself, but actually experiencing it. You must look and feel the part of the successful person you see yourself as. Whether you aspire to be a successful business owner, or a great surfer we are all operating under the same universal laws.

Planning, visualization, action, and learning are the four ingredients necessary to accomplish anything you desire. Success is a very simple system, just staying healthy is. What does it take to be fit and healthy? Simple eat less, exercise more!

Just dumb down any processes you have embedded in you conscious mind that may be slowing you down and/or confusing your subconscious. You don’t want to give you subconscious mind a bunch of contradicting commands because then you get nothing. At least nothing you are looking for that is.

How great would it be if everyone that we had any type of relationship with was a producing income source for us? I’ll tell you what, it would be spectacular, but how can we accomplish this?

The first question you must ask yourself is, “how valuable am I to others?” Are you someone people go to when they need to find a contact? If not, why? As business owners or just a leader in general it is up to you to be a point of contact for as many people as possible.

Anytime a customer, friend, colleague, business partner, or anyone else that you know is looking for a product, contact, service, or idea you must be the first person that pops into their mind. Become a mentor to all that ask of you. Begin to build a massive network, keep notes on the people you “click” with best, continue developing yourself personally, and network proactively rather than reactively.

When you are out and about ask questions and listen to what others are saying. I guarantee you within a week you will begin to get people connected left and right. Find out who can save your colleagues and clients the most money on ongoing expenses like telecom, insurance, and payroll. Find the best people in these industries in your market and develop a strategic alliance with them. If you are out saving people time and money all over town, one, people will not be able to tell you they can’t afford your service if you have saved them more than your service costs, and two, they are now willing to go out of their way to do something nice for you.

Once you begin to utilize the principals of reciprocity you will be amazed how you are able to advance your business.

In the times of change we are in there are many different interpretations of the ups and downs we are encountering. While the masses are watching CNN (Constant Negative News), and CNBC (Constant Negative Broadcasting Coverage), not to mention reading all the news papers there are still those who are keeping their heads down and are accomplishing their goals.

I understand people want to stay informed, but we don’t have to be inundated. The world is going to continue to turn and life will go on. We must realize with every shift and change is an opportunity and learning experience. Life is more abundant than ever, however to acquire this abundance many of us must step out of our comfort zone and actually take time to learn.

I know this is a crazy idea, but if you study wealth you will find out the wealthiest people never stopped learning throughout their entire life. They continue to adapt with the times. If we are not learning and growing we become stagnant, and stagnation breeds disease. Break the word disease down, dis-ease, something that is not at ease. What are many people facing presently? Shockingly enough, uneasiness! Yet they still resist personal education.

It is interesting that the unemployment rate is up, and while jobs are being lost left and right, many of these out of work people are out looking for their next “secure” position instead of stepping out of the box and doing something to create long term passive assets. With all the opportunity out there in various industries that are offering the advantage of starting a venture on your own, with no boss, and the potential for passive and residual income there really are no acceptable excuses.

Buy a book, attend a seminar, sit down with someone who is or has achieved what you want your life to look like, and get out there and make it happen!
